17 people suffer from bad weather in Ukraine, 745 towns left without electricity

260 houses’ roofs, 11 outbuildings, and 8 schools were damaged

17 people got injured due to bad weather in Ukraine; one of them is a child. This was reported by the Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Also, 640 trees were felled, 260 roofs of houses, 11 outbuildings and 8 secondary schools were damaged.

Emergency Service reports that the majority of victims were in Kyiv region – 8 people. In Baryshivka district slate and metal roofing on 18 multi-storey residential buildings, 202 private homes and 7 secondary schools were damaged, 140 trees were felled.

In Cherkasy area, 5 people got injured, in Sumy – 4 people and a child of 2013 year of birth.

210 workers of Emergency Service were trying to eliminate the effects of bad weather and 45 pieces of equipment were used in the works.

As it was reported earlier seven people die in Ukraine due to abnormal weather, road accidents. Ukraine’s Infrastructure Minister calls on drivers to avoid driving on summer tires in the regions where there was a snowfall.
