1.5 million coronavirus vaccinations are planned to be made every week in Ukraine, seeing as 94% of citizens with coronavirus are currently unvaccinated, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal stated during a Cabinet meeting.
"The task for the regions is to ensure the capacity of the infrastructure for vaccination to reach the rate of 1.5 million vaccinations per week," Shmygal said.
According to the head of government, Ukraine made a record number of vaccinations against Covid-19 on October 19 - 225 thousand.
Shmygal said that 94% of citizens suffering from coronavirus are not vaccinated, and called on Ukrainians to vaccinate.
"We are constantly connecting new hospitals and increasing the number of doctors who fight the coronavirus. However, 94.2% of those hospitalized with Covid-19 during the week were not vaccinated. These figures speak for themselves. Vaccination saves lives," he added.
As it was reported earlier, Ukraine will not introduce a full lockdown, despite the growing incidence of coronavirus.
