10 Ukrainians are kept in Russia as political prisoners

"According to the latest information from Security Service of Ukraine, currently, 141 Ukrainian soldiers remain captured by the rebels in Donbas. 10 people are political prisoners in Russia, including Nadia Savchenko," declared on air of the "Svoboda Slova" President Petro Poroshenko's envoy for his Peace plan for Eastern Ukraine Iryna Herashchenko. 788 Ukrainians are considered missing.

As was previously reported by Commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of Europe Nils Muižnieks, at least 8,050 people, the majority of them civilians, have lost their lives in the conflict since April 2014, including at least 68 children. At least 17,811 persons were injured as a result of hostilities, including at least 186 children. From temporarily occupied territories and areas of the antiterrorist operation 978,000 292 persons were relocated to other regions across the country. 162 thousand 24 of them are children and 481 thousand 752 disabled and the elderly.
