Son of MP Ihor Popov Bohdan and his accomplice were handed in notices of suspicion for the attack on the grocery shop, the press service of Kyiv prosecution informs. Their actions are considered as robbery.
In a commentary for 112, spokesperson of the Kyiv prosecution Nadia Maksymets said that this offense foresees 7 to 12 years of imprisonment.
“Taking into account Article 22 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the detained have reached the age when they can be prosecuted for this crime. The individuals aged 14 to 16 can be prosecuted for armed robbery,” she said.
She also noted that the prosecution is to investigate whether Bohdan Popov was involved in five other cases of robbery in the Obolon district of Kyiv.
As we reported earlier, a 14-year-old son of a member of Ukrainian Parliament was detained after an attempt to rob a grocery shop.
