14 Donbas conflict soldiers sent for treatment, rehabilitation to Germany

In total, 88 Ukrainian servicemen were treated in German hospitals in 2014-2017

14 Ukrainian servicemen injured during battles in Donbas were sent today from Boryspil airport to Germany to receive treatment and rehabilitation in the hospitals of Bundeswehr, reports Ukraine’s Defense Ministry press service.

Depending on the gravity of injures they will stay in Germany from several months to a year.

This is the sixth initiative of such kind. In total, 88 Ukrainian servicemen were treated in German hospitals in the period from 2014 to 2017. 79 of these people received treatment in Bundeswehr hospitals, another 9 – in civil clinics.

As it was reported earlier Germany is ready to provide treatment to Ilmi Umerov. Deputy of Mejlis of Crimean Tatar people earlier was released from psychiatric clinic, where he was forced by Crimean authorities to stay.
