13,000 policemen to ensure law and order during public events in Ukraine

13,000 law enforcers will be maintaining law and order during the public events today, August 24. Deputy Head of the National Police Oleksandr Fatsevych stated that as the press service of the institution informs

It stands to mention that the law enforcement agencies work in the enhanced mode throughout the country. Fatsevych assures that the policemen will be responding to changes in the operational environment. 

"Generally, about a thousand public events are planned to be held in the country on August 24. Security and public order will be provided by 13,000 policemen," says the message.

Today, on Saturday, Ukraine is celebrating Independence Day, the day when it received its sovereign and territorial integrity. 

As we reported earlier, about 3,000 policemen will maintain law and order on the Independence Day in Kyiv on August 24. 

"We do not see any risks. We do not see them on the event with the participation of the President of Ukraine, as well as on the Procession of Dignity," Head of Kyiv National Police Department Andriy Kryshchenko said.
