13 Ukrainian regions are ready to proceed to the second stage of the emerging from the quarantine as the Health Ministry reported.
Such results were received on the results of the rates of incidence (less than 12 persons for 100,000 of the population), a load of beds (less than 50%) and coverage with testing (over 12 persons for 100,000 of the population).
Thus, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyrovohrad, Lviv, Odesa, Sumy, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Kherson, Cherkasy and Chernihiv regions are ready to pass to the second stage.
Kyiv, Kharkiv and Dnipro are not ready but the metro in these cities will start to work on May 25.
According to the Health Ministry, there are no new cases of Covid-19 infection in Luhansk and Poltava regions; however, these regions are not ready to proceed to the new stage of the emerging from lockdown.
According to 112 Ukraine TV channel, Health Minister Maksym Stepanov stated that today, on May 22, Ukraine has switched to the adaptive quarantine. On June 1, the next stage will begin. The interregional traffic and the work of the fitness centers will be restored. Moreover, it will be allowed to visit the swimming pools.
“When we make a decision concerning this or that mitigation at different stages of the emerging from the quarantine, we also consider the epidemical situation, which is observed in different world countries, consider the recommendations of our epidemiologists and recommendations of the epidemiological institutes of the world. That is why we made a decision, starting from June 1 or the third stage of the emerging from quarantine, that the work of the sports complexes, fitness centers with swimming pools will be restored,” Stepanov said.
He announced that from June 10, the Ukrainians will be able to visit the cafes and restaurants on the premises.
