Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov says that 122,000 Russian troops are 200 km away and 143.500 troops are 400 km away from the Russian-Ukrainian border as Ukrinform reported.
"As regards the number of troops directly. Today, what we see is 122,000 located at a distance of 200 km and 143,500 soldiers of the Russian Federation are at a distance of 400 km in this radius from our border,” Danilov said.
The NSDC secretary stressed that the situation on the Ukrainian-Russian border, where the Russian troops are located, is troubled, but the NSDC and the President of Ukraine keep it under control.
As we reported earlier, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov exchanged data with intelligence services of Great Britain and the USA about the risks of the buildup of Russian troops around Ukraine.
Earlier, US intelligence revealed Russia's plans for a possible military invasion of Ukraine, which may take place in early 2022. According to sources, it is a probable attack from the annexed Crimea, across the border from Russia and through Belarus.
