Thus, the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting can make a decision on the cessation of broadcasting on September 19 or 26.
112 Ukraine TV channel urges the European Union, the European Parliament, PACE, the International Federation of Journalists and other international organizations to influence the Ukrainian authorities and not to allow termination of broadcasting of the independent Ukrainian channel.
"The government has completely changed in Ukraine, but one thing has not changed - the inability of the authorities to accept criticism. The authorities close the only TV channels in Ukraine, 112 Ukraine TV channel and NewsOne TV channel, which are not afraid to express an objective point of view and give a word to all political powers in the country without exceptions. We will not give up and continue fighting for the right of our audience to know the objective information," Director-General of 112 Ukraine TV channel Yehor Benkendorf stated.
Earlier, radical nationalist groups threatened to picket the office of the TV channel, and then it was shelled with a grenade launcher. There was no reaction from the authorities on this incident.
