The number of Italian mass media published message of Adnkronos media that states that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky tuned off three TV channels.

Particularly, the information was published by La Sicilia La Sicilia, Fortune Italia, Corriere Di Arezzo and others as Capital reported.

“The issue is about 112 Ukraine, NewsOne and ZiK TV channels, which, according to the order signed yesterdays (February 2) by the President can broadcast only on the internet but not on the airwaves. Medvedchuk is included on the list of people who face U.S. sanctions. Zelensky explained that his decision was difficult, that he supports the freedom of speech but not ‘propaganda financed by country-aggressor,” Adnkronos stated.

Earlier, Chairman of Political Council of Opposition Platform-For Life Viktor Medvedchuk stated that introduction of the sanctions by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky against 112 Ukraine, NewsOne and ZiK TV channels is absolutely illegal.

“Zelensky wants to clear the information field as he was advised by his entourage to make the information communication of the President with Ukrainian people at the intellectual level of the kindergarten, near the Christmas tree, when the President speaks and the grateful audience listens to him? He would like to reduce the communication to ‘funny videos’? It will not happen so. People needs answers for thrilling questions about tariffs, vaccines, peace in Donbas, salaries, pensions and many other,” Medvedchuk said.

On February 2, Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on sanctions against 112 Ukraine, NewsONE and ZiK TV channels. By this decree, he enforced the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on sanctions on the cancellation of the broadcasting licenses of the TV channels belonging to Taras Kozak (112 Ukraine, NewsOne, ZIK). According to the decree that is eligible since the moment of signature, the TV channels faced sanctions that will be active for five years. These sanctions make the broadcasting impossible.

Earlier, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine demands to close YouTube pages of 112 Ukraine, NewsOne and ZIK TV channels.

At the same time, Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament Dmytro Razumkov said that sanctions against TV channels are always bad.
