112 Ukraine chose Mykola Tymncheko with his positive work ‘Before the parade’. The author depicted soldier not during the war but in the peaceful life that drew the attention of the experts of 112 Ukraine.
‘We get used during the last years of the photos where the soldiers are wounded, in the defensive fighting positions who tell us about the attacks and the mothers cries for their perished sons. And this photo is the projection of our desires. We see our defenders in the peaceful life and they rejoice at the simple moments. I sincerely want to see Ukraine to be back in the saddle without attacks, death and tears but with simple pleasures of life as we can see from the photo of our favorite: happy faces and evens that we want to depict’, creative producer of the TV channel Mykola Korchaga said.
The prizewinner that was chosen by 112 Ukraine Mykola Tymncheko also revealed the background of his work. ‘It was a rehearsal of the parade dedicated to the Day of Independence. It is the most interesting moments that occur behind the scenes of the event’.
243 partakers all over Ukraine presented about 3200 works for the photo contest this year.
‘The photo exhibition of ‘Den’ is nine huge volumes of the comments where people write their warm emotion. They say that when they look at the photos then they realized that they have never seen our country so full of the power and pain, love, haunting beauty’, chief editor of ‘Den’ newspaper Larysa Ivshyna noted.
‘The fantastical photojournalists work ‘in the fields’ for this and they entrust their works to us during 19 years! Our goal is to make the quality photo-environment of the country’, she said.
The ‘Den’ newspaper holds the International Photo Contest 19 years. It will last until November 5 in Kyiv and then it will take place in other cities of Ukraine.
