10% of Ukrainian hospitals have full oxygen beds occupancy

In Ukraine, 46 hospitals already have 100% occupation of oxygen beds, and another 193 hospitals have 75% oxygen beds occupation, Minister of Healthcare Viktor Lyashko stated during a briefing.

"The situation is uneven, in 46 out of 480 Covid hospitals (about 10%) oxygen beds are already 100% occupied, and in 193 (about 40% covid hospitals) oxygen beds are occupied at 75%. The remaining 60% of clinics remain without a critical workload," Lyashko said.

At the same time, the Minister noted that the actual occupancy of beds with oxygen by patients in need of oxygen therapy in Ukraine is 50%.

As it was reported earlier, 26,071 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Ukraine on October 27. During the past 24 hours, the majority of the cases were registered in Odesa (+2,296), Dnipropetrovsk (+2,113), Zhytomyr (1,668), Lviv (1,506), and Kharkiv (+1,517) regions.
