Klimkin believes that foreign media started correctly spell the names of Ukrainian cities owing to media campaign CorrectUA.
As was reported before, Ukraine's Foreign Ministry started the campaign dubbed KyivNotKiev, asking the foreign media to spell their capital city correctly. Ukrainian authority also suggests that international media use purely Ukrainian spelling for such cities as Kharkiv, Odesa, Mykolaiv, and others, as well as 'Ukraine instead of the widespread mistake, 'the Ukraine.'
