President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte met at the sidewalks of the World Economic Forum in Davos. The officials talked through the most burning matter at hand between the states, which is completion of ratification of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.
Poroshenko stressed that the EU Council’s decisions made in late December 2016 create enough opportunities for the Dutch side to finalize this procedure.
The Dutch Premier confirmed that his government supports Ukraine in terms of keeping the anti-Russian sanctions – until the Minsk agreement is fully complied with. Rutte also said he supports the decision to speed up the introduction of EU visa free regime for Ukraine.
The sides also discussed further efforts for brining to responsibility those behind the MH17 disaster.
