Voting on French oversees territories — Saint-Pierre and Miquelon Islands — has already started in terms of the second round of the presidential election in France, according to Le Figaro.
"Voting in presidential run-off election started on Saturday in oversees territories of France — Saint-Pierre et Miquelon," the message reads.
The voting here starts earlier due to significant time difference between the time zones. Almost 5,000 people are registered on the electoral roll.
Polling stations will open on Sunday morning in the most of France.
As it is known, centrist Emmanuel Macron and far-right Marine Le Pen made it to the second leg of presidential election in France – with 24 and 21.3 percent of voters, respectively.
According to the polls, Macron would get 62 percent of the votes in the runoff while Le Pen could count on 38, and it means that it is Macron’s best in the voting survey by now.
