The drone belongs to the United States Air Force and is located on the airbase in Italy, on the Sigonella Island. The drone left the airbase at 4:00 AM.

Around 7:00 AM after flying through Greece, Bulgaria, and Romania, the drone entered the Ukrainian territories in Chernivtsi region.  It continues to fulfill its mission in the Donbas conflict zone.

Ukrainian military portal reported

RQ-4 Global Hawk – is the strategic surveillance aircraft, which was first used on the  United States Air Force airbase in California on February 29, 1998. The first drone was passed to the US army and started to fulfill military missions in 2006.

As we reported earlier, the pro-Russian militants fired at the OSCE SMM drone, with the help of which observers monitored the snow removal at the T-0504 road in Luhansk region.

According to the Ukrainian side, the provocative actions of the militants are connected with the intentions to hide their firing activity in the direction of the Ukrainian troops.

"With such armed attacks, the occupiers are trying to intimidate representatives of the OSCE mission and force them to cease their work in the Luhansk area," the report said.
