Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ratified the agreement with the European Union on country’s participation in COSME program (Competitiveness of Small and Medium Enterprises). 226 people’s deputies voted in favor of this decision.
The agreement enters into forces starting from the date when Ukraine notifies the Commission on fulfilling its domestic procedures through diplomatic channels.

Competitiveness of Small and Medium Enterprises (COSME) is a European Program to support small and medium businesses.
It consists of various thematic projects and programs for the period of 2014 to 2020 with the total budget of 2.3 billion euro. The list of programs, defined by the European Commission, is changed on a yearly basis.
The website of Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine informs that Ukrainian small and medium entities, institutions, agencies of regional development and educational facilities will be able to participate in this program. Any national business associations, trade unions, clusters and bodies of state power are receiving the possibility to take part in COSME projects.
