The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine hopes that the newly elected European Parliament will help Ukraine to resist Russian aggression. The press service of the MIA reported this.

“Ukraine counts on the continuation of the cooperation with the newly elected Parliament concerning the realization of the European course of our country, implementation of the internal reforms as well as resistance to Russian aggression. We are convinced that the support of the sovereignty, the independence and the territorial integrity of our country will remain constant in the bilateral relations of Ukraine with the European Parliament and the European Union at all,” the report said.

According to the report, Ukraine congratulates its partners of the European Union on successfully conducted elections.

Besides, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs believes that the results of the election prove the landslide victory of the pro-European forces.

The MIA congratulated the European Parliament and highly appreciated the European Union's ability to resist Russia's attempts to interfere in the electoral process of the European Union.

The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine also thanked the European Parliament of the 8th convocation for fruitful cooperation.

Earlier, the results of the election in the European Parliament have been made public on May 27.

According to the European Court of Auditors, the overall voters' turnout made 50.5 percent of Europeans.
