Ukraine, Montenegro, Albania, Liechtenstein and Norway joined the EU sanctions against the 146 individuals and 37 entities involved in actions against the territorial integrity of Ukraine. This was reported in the statement of EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy Federica Mogherini.
"The Candidate Countries Montenegro and Albania, and the EFTA countries Liechtenstein and Norway, members of the European Economic Area, as well as Ukraine align themselves with this Council Decision (on the extension of sanctions - Ed.)", reads the statement.
It is noted that they will ensure that their national policies conform to this Council Decision.
"The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it", said Mogherini.
These sanctions imposed on September 15 have been extended until March 15, 2017.
