Ukraine and the EU held a bilateral meeting, where they discussed Europe's energy security. Deputy Head of Presidential Office of Ukraine Ihor Zhovkva represented Ukraine, and Chairman of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs Elmar Brok spoke on the behalf of the EU. The respective message appeared on the website of the President's Office.
Zhovkva stated that Ukraine remains a reliable EU partner in terms of fuel transit. He also informed Brok of Ukraine's priority in the relations with the EU, marking the progress in the reforms foreseen by the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement. He also thanked Brok for his constant political support for Ukraine on its path for EU integration.
Brok, in return, said that the EU remains committed to the support of reforms in Ukraine, its sovereignty and territorial integrity. The EU will keep the sanctions pressure on Russia until it completely abides by Minsk agreements, he concluded.
