The signing of memorandum, prepared by the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine (SAEE), regarding cooperation in energy efficiency and renewable energy areas between two countries, took place in the framework of official visit of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to Denmark today, April 5. This was reported by SAEE press service.
The press service informed that the aim of the memorandum is to strengthen cooperation between Ukraine and Denmark in the area of decreasing the consumption of traditional energy sources, as well as developing of renewable energy market.
According to the memorandum, parties will be exchanging information about national strategies in energy efficiency and renewable energy areas, and also work on realization of investing projects in these spheres.
Particular attention in terms of memorandum will also be paid to the exchange of knowledge to ensure sustainable work of energy systems while increasing the electricity share, produced from the renewable sources.
President Poroshenko also noted on the results of the meeting that leaders of Danish companies plan to invest in Ukraine.
