The date of the meeting in the "Normandy format" (France, Germany, Ukraine, Russia) has not been set yet, despite Ukraine’s fulfillment of necessary conditions. This was stated by the Ambassador of France to Ukraine Etienne de Poncins, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
"The disengagement has already been completed, it has been carried out on weekends. Both conditions (for the Normandy Summit – ed.) have been fulfilled, so we expect the summit to be held. There is no confirmation of dates yet. We are still working to ensure that such a meeting will be held in late November," Poncins said.
He also noted that President of France Emmanuel Macron is not preparing for a visit to Ukraine.
"President Macron was invited and would like to visit Ukraine, but at the moment we are not working on a visit agenda or dates," the diplomat added.
As we reported earlier, the Normandy Four highest level meeting may take place on November 24 or 26. This was reported by DT.UA with reference to a source, close to the President's Office.
If the meeting does not take place on these dates, then, according to the source, the leaders will not be able to gather by the end of the year, and then one can hardly hope that the Quartet meeting will ever take place.
