President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko urged the European Parliament to provide Ukrainians visa-free regime as soon as possible. The Head of State said this at a meeting with European Parliament President Martin Schulz in Brussels, the press service of the Presidential Administration reports.
"The European Parliament has a stable majority for the introduction of a visa-free regime with Ukraine", said Martin Schulz.
In addition, Poroshenko praised the continued support of the European Parliament for Ukraine to counter Russian aggression and implement reforms.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will pay a visit to Brussels on October 20, where he will hold a series of meetings with the leadership of the European Union. He will also host a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.
EU leaders will meet at a summit in Brussels on 20 and 21 October to discuss migration issues, trade and relations with the Russian Federation, including its role in Syria.
