Russia banned import of beef and byproducts from Minsk oblast of Belarus starting from February 6 after the renewed tension between two countries. This was reported by “TASS”.
The ban was implemented in connection with the allegation that the meet processed as originated from this region, was actually produced in Europe and Ukraine and then was exported to Russia disguised as Belarus product.
It is noteworthy that in August 2014 Russia imposed a ban on import from the countries that introduced sanctions regarding annexation of Crimea and supporting militants in Donbas.
