President Petro Poroshenko signed the Annual national program of intensification of Ukraine-NATO partnership, broadcasted by the 112.Ukraine.
“I have signed the Annual national program of stretching of the partnership between Ukraine and NATO for 2019. This is the systematic, multi-track document that sets our aims, which are to be reached by the end of 2020 and the key tasks to fulfill this year. This our home assignment in order to become a member of NATO,” Poroshenko said.
“Complex document means that our army, ammunition and tactics, strategies and actions are formed according to the international standards,” the President of Ukraine pointed out.
Earlier, President Poroshenko signed the program of intensification of Ukraine-NATO partnership. On April 4, the head of the state congratulated on the 70th anniversary, posting the respective message on Facebook.
The President stated that Ukraine highly evaluates the NATO's solidarity and its stable support in view of the Russian aggression. He stressed that all these years, Ukraine confidently made its way to the North Atlantic Alliance, and it is now 'ready to take the long-anticipated commitments and begin to implement the Action plan to join the NATO'.
