President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy Johannes Hahn met in Kyiv on June 1. They discussed wide variety of issues – first of all, the future EU-Ukraine summit, which is slated for July 13. Press service of the presidential administration reported that on Thursday.
Poroshenko also told Hahn about the current situation in Donbas; the EU commissioner, in turn, confirmed that Brussels remains committed to the non-recognition of Crimea’s occupation by Russia, as well as to keeping sanctions against Russia until it fully complies with Minsk agreements.
The sides also discussed full implementation of EU-Ukraine association agreement, which in long term is going to create suitable conditions for Ukraine’s integration with EU internal market and raise competitiveness of Ukrainian goods in international markets.
