Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko held a telephone conversation with the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Political leaders defined the priority directions of deepening cooperation between Ukraine and Israel. It was also agreed upon the visit of Volodymyr Groysman, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, to Israel. This was reported in the message of the Presidential press-service.

The two sides stressed on the need to enhance economic cooperation between Ukraine and Israel and agreed to take steps for the completion of a bilateral Free Trade Agreement, according to the message.

It was also agreed on mutual support within international organizations on the basis of common interests, and taking into account Ukraine's membership in the UN Security Council. Netanyahu also greeted Ukraine on the beginning of its presidency in the UN Security Council.
