Pedro Agramunt was re-elected the President of PACE for a second one-year term at the opening of the winter session in Strasbourg, reports the official PACE website.
It is also noted that Agramunt presented his political priorities for 2017 with a plea in favour of parliamentary diplomacy.
Besides, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (Ukraine) elected its Vice-Presidents, at the opening of its Winter plenary Session today. The seats for the Vice-Presidents in respect of the Republic of Moldova and Romania remain vacant. Georgii Logvynskyi is elected from Ukraine.
As it was reported earlier, the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Pedro Agramunt urged the Assembly to take the decisions necessary to return the Russian delegation to the plenary hall in October. He urged the leaders of the political groups to hold consultations in their groups on this issue.
