Omelyan announces launch of train Lviv – Lubin

Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan has announced the launch of the train in the direction of Lviv – Lubin. It is reported on the website of the Ministry of Infrastructure based on the results of the meeting of Omelyan and Minister of Infrastructure of Poland Andrzej Adamczyk.

Furthermore, the work on the restoration of the railway service in the direction of Przemyśl - Malhowice - Nyzhankovychi is being held.

Ukrainian and Polish sides agreed on holding the session of the bilateral workgroup in Lviv on the expansion of the railway service between Ukraine and Poland.

Volodymyr Omelyan noted the intensity and high impact of the Ukrainian – Polish dialogue in 2018.

‘We are very pleased to the progress we achieved on the level of line ministries of Ukraine and Poland. Direct railway service between Ukraine and Poland initiated in 2016 is an example of successful implementation of Ukrainian – Polish projects. And now, both side are actively working on the expansion of the railway service between Ukraine and Poland. I thank Poland for the active position in this matter and overwhelming support of the initiative,’ Omelyan claimed.

Minister of Infrastructure  Andrzej Adamczyk expressed his belief that the expansion of the railway service between Ukraine and Poland will also foster the European infrastructural integration of Ukraine.

As it was reported earlier, Ukrainian Railways launched the selling of tickets for the train of four capitals: Kyiv, Minsk, Vilnius, and Riga.
