Norway allocated almost 1 billion euro on fulfilling the Council of Europe projects for Ukraine, according to Ambassador of Norway to Ukraine Ole Terje Horpestad, as Interfax-Ukraine reports.
The Ambassador noted that these actions will allow continuing the fulfilment of the Council of Europe projects after the plan for actions on Ukraine for 2015-2017 is finished, under the new plan for 2018-2021.
Head of the Council of Europe Office in Ukraine Morten Enberg said that the previous plan included support of the constitutional reform, the functioning of democratic institutions, the judicial reform, reforms of the police and penitentiary system, as well as gender equality.
The planned cost of fulfilling the plan is 28 million euro over the course of four years.
