Lithuania’s Seimas adopts eight resolutions in support of Ukraine

Lithuanian Parliament has approved eight resolutions in total in support of Ukraine. This was the focus of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky’s attention during a meeting with Lithuanian Seimas Speaker Viktoras Pranckietis in Vilnius. It was reported by the press service of the President of Ukraine.

"We know that eight Seimas resolutions have been approved in support of Ukraine. We appreciate it very much. As well as recognizing the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people as genocide. This is important to us," Zelensky said.

He also welcomed the activities of the ProUkraine MP and “Group of friends of Ukrainian Crimea” in Lithuania’s Seimas.

As we reported earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid have signed a joint statement on further cooperation

The presidents reaffirmed "a firm commitment to international law and the basic principles of international relations" in this statement.

The heads of state once again urged the Russian Federation to abolish the illegal annexation of Crimea and to stop the aggression in Donbas.
