The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania will continue to support Ukraine and continue consistent policy of non-recognition of the illegal occupation and annexation of Crimea. This is reported in the official statement of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry in connection with the third anniversary of Crimean occupation.

"Lithuania consistently advocates the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine. Supporting Ukraine, we will continue a consistent policy of non-recognition of the illegal occupation and annexation of the Crimea three years ago," said in Foreign Ministry of the Republic statement.

Also in the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry added that the country's leadership will continue to demand the continuation of the European and international sanctions against the Russian Federation to complete its retreat from illegally occupied territory of Ukraine.

The ministry also condemned Russia's infringement of basic human rights, violation of freedom of the media, of peaceful assembly, expression and religion, as well as the prosecution of Crimean Tatars.
