Le Pen pledges to leave NATO if she wins

France should withdraw from NATO military alliance to avoid being involved in wars

French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen, leader of the National Front party, stressed the priority to leave NATO and strengthening country’s own armed forces in her election campaign.

“France should leave NATO military alliance in order to avoid being involved in wars which do not serve the interests of our country,” Le Pen claimed.

Politician advocates for restoration of national borders, withdrawing from Schengen Area, organizing referendum on leaving the EU and prohibition on legalizing foreigners arriving to the country illegally.

Le Pen promises to fully restore French military industrial complex, increase military budget to 3 % of GDP and launch nuclear rearmament of the country as well as revise constitution and create new places in prisons.

Le Pen’s program consists of 144 election promises in total.
