Ukraine is interested in the further economic cooperation with Germany and expects the increase of German investments. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko claimed this at the meeting with Vice-President of Bundestag Wolfgang Kubicki. Vitali Klitschko stressed that today Ukraine is a niche market, the press office of the Mayor reports.
He also noted that one of his objectives, as the mayor of the Ukrainian capital is for Kyiv to have as many as possible foreign representatives for the realization of important international projects. Vitali Klitschko expressed hope that Ukraine and Germany could implement many joint plans, in particular, in the economic realm, in machine-building, agricultural sector, and cultural projects.
Also, Vitali Klitschko and the Vice-President of Bundestag discussed the situation in Donbas. He stressed the need to increase sanctions against Russia, which is responsible for the continuation of the hostilities by supporting the terrorists with weapons and military. And the pressure of the world community on Russia will help to bring peace back and to restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
‘Our success will be the best reply for the actions of our enemies who are wishing the dissolution of Ukraine. More than 10 thousand Ukrainian lives are put in opposition to the political ambitions of Russia, - claimed Vitali Klitschko. – It is nice that many MPs of the German Bundestag visited Ukraine over the last few months. Such visits help to the better understanding of the situation in my country, which is opposed to the military aggression from the Russian side and, despite this, embodies the reforms.’
Also, he called the Vice-President of Bundestag to reinforce the fight against the Russian propaganda in Germany. In particular, it is about the media sources, which are disseminating distorted information about Ukraine.
During the talks, the Mayor of the capital proposed Kubicki to visit Donbas himself and to see the situation developed there.
