Germany’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs commented on the disengagement of forces in Zolote, which took place on October 29. The ministry also called for to disengagement of forces in other areas of Donbas. This was reported on its Twitter page.

"The disengagement of forces in Zolote is a good reason for the hopes of the local population that real progress in the peace process will be possible. This procedure should now continue in other areas," the ministry stated.

As we reported earlier, the process of the disengagement of the forces near Zolote will last for three days as the HQ of the Joint Forces Operation reported on Facebook.

“Totally, the actions on the disengagement of forces will take place for three days,” the message said.

The forces are disengaged for a kilometer on both sides. Thus, the distance between them will be at least two kilometers. Taking the example of the division in Stanytsia Luhanska, the HQ noted that due to the great distance between the front lines in such areas, the number of the attack will reduce up to zero. It will allow opening Zolote checkpoint.

The OSCE observers control the disengagement process and involve the drones in the process. The Joint Forces Operation command states that in case of the escalation of the situation, the Ukrainian military is ready to return to the positions.
