The federal government of Germany in 2017-2018 will provide EUR 2.313 million on the projects of humanitarian aid for internally displaced persons (IDPs), which are carried out by Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe organization, the press service of the German Embassy in Ukraine reported.
The Federal government of Germany will provide EUR 2.3 million to continue the humanitarian aid projects of the Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe organization. This was reported by the press service of the German Embassy in Ukraine. The gospel organization will provide another EUR 260 thousand of their own. They have already completed a number of humanitarian projects in Ukraine and got the support of the German government for 2.5 million Euros in 2015 and 2016.
The project activities will be aimed at the internally displaced people providing support for them during next two years. Among other things, the activities include distributing foodstuff, hygiene packages and household items, psychosocial counseling and professional skills development and training to improve the IDPs' chances on the labor market and to promote self-employment
The project will be implemented in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, as well as in Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
