GIZ

The German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) upon instructions of the German Federal Government has provided the State Emergency Service of Ukraine with two diesel generators with capacities up to 600 kW for emergency power supply in Avdiivka. This was reported in a press release of the German Embassy to Ukraine.

The personnel underwent the according training for using the apparatus beforehand. Thus, the generators can be used in crisis areas of Eastern Ukraine any time on-the-go in order to compensate blackouts and water shortage after hostilities and infrastructure damages.

Beyond that, GIZ is also delivering 5 tents with heating for 20 persons each.

This event is a part of wide German support program for Ukraine, which consists of short term emergency measures as this one, along with mid- and longterm support measures.
