Normandy format meeting with the participation of Ukraine, France, Russia, and Germany on the issue of resolving the situation in Donbas may take place in the coming weeks. This decision was made by the leaders of the G7 countries at the summit in Biarritz this weekend, according to a declaration posted on the French President Emmanuel Macron administration website.

It is indicated that France and Germany will be engaged in the preparation of the meeting.

"France and Germany will hold a Normandy format summit in the coming weeks to achieve concrete results," the report said.

 Angela Merkel on the sidelines of the G-7 summit announced the desire of Paris and Berlin to hold a summit of leaders of the Norman Four countries - Germany, France, Ukraine, and Russia. It is assumed that the next meeting in this format will be held in Paris.

On August 24, it was reported that US State Department Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker announced that the US was ready to join the Normandy format if necessary.
