Ukraine's Foreign Minister states need to enhance sectoral cooperation with EU

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin stated that it is important to enhance the cooperation between the EU and three associate partners with its further sectoral integration to the Union within the development of the Eastern Partnership after 2020. He said it at the ministerial meeting of the Eastern Partnership in Luxembourg, as Foreign Ministry press office reports.

The Minister called the EU to be ambitious, to react to the aspirations of the partners, provide specific projects to the tenth anniversary of the Eastern Partnership with maximum results for the community and to start discussing the future of the Eastern Partnership.

Klimkin highlighted major efforts of Ukraine within the priorities of the Eastern Partnership, paying special attention to the results of the anti-corruption fight.

Foreign Minister has also noted that it was important to enhance the security dimension and activation of the cooperation towards counterwork of hybrid and cyber threats, in particular, from Russia. It is rather significant due to the elections in Ukraine and EU.
