Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn will visit Ukraine on March 13-14, the press service of the Ukraine's Foreign Ministry reported.
"The purpose of the visit is to deepen Ukrainian-Luxembourg political dialogue, and the biggest attention during the visit of J. Asselborn will be given to the analysis of the situation in Donbas in the context of maintaining the EU position on sanctions against Russia, as well as Ukraine-EU cooperation in view of the implementation of the Association agreement and the functioning of the Free Trade Zone," the department noted.
On March 13, the guest will visit the Mariupol front line and the contact line in Donbas. This was reported in Mariupol city council.
The diplomat will be accompanied by his Ukrainian colleague Pavlo Klimkin.
"The purpose of the visit is to get acquainted with Mariupol, visit the line of contact and discuss the issues of further cooperation with the chairman of Donetsk Regional Military Administration Pavlo Zhebrivsky and the city head of Mariupol Vadym Boychenko," the city council noted.
