The Federal Court of the United States of America ordered the State Department to provide documents related to Ukraine within 30 days. CNN reports.
The State Department is required to make public the record of negotiations between Secretary of State Michael Pompeo and U.S. President Donald Trump's lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, which may be related to Ukraine.
It is emphasized that the lawsuit was filed by the watchdog group American Oversight, which asked to begin rapidly processing and releasing senior officials' correspondence with Giuliani and other communications about efforts to pressure the Ukrainian government to open a political investigation. The lawsuit also sought the release of records related to the recall of US Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch.
As we reported earlier, two Florida businessmen, who helped President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, investigate political rival Joe Biden pleaded not guilty to illegally funneling money to a pro-Trump election committee and other politicians, Reuters reports.
Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman entered their not guilty pleas to federal campaign finance charges before U.S. District Judge Paul Oetken in Manhattan.
