The European Parliament approved expansion of trade preferences for Ukraine, UNN informs.

New measures are expected to work for 3 years and include additional quotas for importing at a zero VAT rate some agricultural produce. We know that the expansion concerns honey (for 2,500 tones), processed tomatoes (for 3,000 tones), grape juice (for 500 tones), wheat (65,000 tones), corn (625,000 tones), kernels and grains of certain cereals (for 7,800 tones), oats (4.000 tones), and barley (325,000 tones).

Moreover, the decision means full cancellation of import duty for certain manufactured goods, such as fertilizers, colourants, pigments and other dyeing substances, shoes, copper, aluminum, and equipment for TV and audio recording.

As we reported before, Committee of Permanent Representatives of EU member states has agreed on preliminary arrangements regarding trade preferences for Ukraine
