The Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament voted for the provision of macrofinancial assistance for Ukraine, as Rikard Jozwiak, Brusselian correspondent of Radio Svoboda, wrote on Twitter.
the EP's foreign affairs committee voted in favour of a new MFA for #Ukraine but added the amendment that "the composition of the Central Election Commission of Ukraine reflects a political balance representing all relevant political forces, notably those represented in the Rada"— Rikard Jozwiak (@RikardJozwiak) May 16, 2018
As it was reported, the European Commission has officially started allocating $1,19 billion of financial assistance for Ukraine.
Earlier, Verkhovna Rada’s work plan for the plenary session on May 15-18 calls the Parliament for restoring the body of the Central Election Commission on May 17.
As it is known, at the beginning of February in 2018 Petro Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine, presented a submission to the Parliament concerning the renewal of the body of the Central Election Commission. Then a special review was conducted.
It should be noted that the problem is that there are 13 vacant seats in the Central Election Committee and 14 candidates.
As it is known, the term of appointment of most of the Central Election Commission members expired long ago.
