The EU will initiate creation of an Anti-Corruption Chamber in Ukraine, President of European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker said during the 19th EU-Ukraine Summit, broadcasted by 112.UA Channel.
“We are concerned about combating corruption. I do understand that the President and the Parliament are doing everything possible and there is some progress in this regard, but the situation isn’t satisfactory yet. We still have to do a lot, because it’s a huge and major issue, and, with your permission, I would like to say to the President and to the Parliament, well, give you a piece of advice. We all agreed that you should have an Anti-Corruption Chamber within the court. We do not insist on having a separate Anti-Corruption Court, but the Chamber to combat corruption, to deal with corruption-related offences,” Juncker said.
As it was reported earlier, EU-Ukraine Summit is taking place in Kyiv today.
