The European Union is ready to further cooperate with the Government of the Netherlands to address issues regarding the ratification of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement. European Council President Donald Tusk wrote this on Twitter.
"The EU stands ready to continue to work with Prime Minister Rutte, to find a good solution for the ratification of the AA/ DCFTA in all countries and keep the West united", wrote Tusk.
Recall, the Netherlands do not stop the ratification of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU and will continue to consult until November 1.
It should be noted that the Dutch parliament obliged the government until November to decide the question of the association of Ukraine and the EU. At the same time Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte said that the government is likely to not ratify the Association Agreement between the European Union and Ukraine, taking into account the results of the April referendum.
Recall that the Netherlands held a consultative referendum regarding the Association Agreement between the EU and Ukraine on April 6, 2016. 61% voted against the EU-Ukraine association.
