The EU has transferred 11.5 million euros to the state budget of Ukraine in order to support its public administration reform. It was reported by the press service of the EU Delegation to Ukraine.

"Today, the EU transfers a direct payment of over EUR 11.5 million to the state budget of Ukraine. The funds are aimed to support the further development of public administration in Ukraine, notably to boost its performance and resilience amid the ongoing COVID-19 crisis," the statement said.

In order to obtain these funds, Ukraine had to make progress in public administration reform, in particular - improve and further digitalize the inter-connectivity of state registries and public services.

It is worth noting that the EU has assigned 90 million euros for the 2016-2021 budget support for Ukraine's public administration reform. Thus, Ukraine has already received three tranches totaling 37.6 million euros.
