The EU imposed new migration rules at its external borders; according to them, the border control is compulsory from now on. Ukraine’s State Border Guard reported that on Friday.

Under the regulation of the European Parliament and the Council of Europe Citizens of EU member countries will be obliged to systematically undergo compulsory border control procedures, with consequent submitting in the border control database.

This does not concern Ukrainian citizens, State Border Guard said.

Earlier, the European Parliament voted for the visa free regime for Ukraine. Now, it's up to the EU ambassadors and the Council of Europe to approve this decision.
