The European Union on March 15 will extend for six months sanctions against 146 citizens of Russia and Ukraine, as well as 37 organizations. This is reported by the TASS news agency, citing the words of the European diplomat.

"The Council of Member States of the EU Permanent Representatives will extend for six months a black list for the Russian Federation and Ukraine at the next meeting on March 15," the source said.

In September last year, the EU Council approved the extension of sanctions until March 15, 2017 regarding the black list of individuals and organizations in Russia and Ukraine.

The ongoing sanctions against Russian entities and individuals involved in the acts of aggression against Ukraine will not be lifted. For that to happen, Russia will have to de-occupy Crimea first. David Stulik, press attaché of the EU Delegation in Ukraine, said this in his comment to 112 Ukraine TV channel earlier.
