Today the European Union Council of Ministers should decide on granting visa-free regime to Ukraine. This decision will be considered at the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Agriculture and Fisheries, the correspondent of 112 Ukraine TV channel reports.

Approximately on May 15, the decision will be officially published in the EU magazine, and on May 17 it will be officially signed in the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

Also on May 17, President Petro Poroshenko will arrive in Strasbourg, where he will attend the signing ceremony.

Further, the decision would be published in the Official Journal of the European Union, and in 20 days after the publication the visa-free will enter into force - tentatively from June 11, 2017.

We recall, on April 26, the EU ambassadors approved a visa-free regime for Ukrainians. The European Parliament on April 6 voted to grant Ukraine a visa-free regime with the EU.  521 MEPs voted for this decision, 75 voted against, 36 abstained. On May 11 this issue will be submitted for approval by the EU Council, and in the near future after that the signing will take place.
