Ambassadors of the EU have considered the options of creation of EUATM, a military and education mission of the EU in Ukraine. Rikard Jozwiak, the correspondent of Radio Liberty reported that on Twitter.
"The EU is considering various options for a military advisory & training mission in Ukraine as a complement to the civilian mission that has been there since 2014", reads the post.
According to Radio Liberty, it will take 60 employees to get the new mission going. They will act as counselors of Education Department of Ukraine's Defense Ministry and the General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces to assist the reform of professional military education.
The document points out four possible scenarios of cooperation. One of these foresees support of Ukraine's stability by the means of strengthening of its military potential. Other options foresee less significant involvement, and in this case, the EUAM will act merely as addition to the civilian mission that has been deployed in this country way back in 2014.
